The history of the ORPEA Group
The history of the ORPEA Group began in 1989, when a neuropsychiatrist opened the first nursing home in Saujon in the Charente-Maritime region of France.
Today, the Group is established in more than 20 countries, mainly in Europe, and covers a global care offer of retirement homes, clinics, assisted living and home care, which represent close to 1,000 facilities and 76,000 employees.
In 2022, the Group has launched its reorganization plan called "Changing ORPEA! With you and for you", whose ambition is to transform itself in depth for patients, residents and their families as well as for employees.
