Growth strategy

Growth strategy

In a demographic context marked by an accelerated ageing of populations in Europe and worldwide, increased specialisation and medicalisation of the offer and a fragmented sector, ORPEA has built up over 30 years an international Group, a reference player in the care of vulnerable people. Today, ORPEA is operating in more than 20 countries and offers 111,800 beds in its 1114 establishments.

A balanced development strategy

By developing more inclusive models, initiatives and partnerships with all its local and national stakeholders, the Group is thinking about the care of its residents and patients.

Strategic axes to strengthen our growth

Enhancing the skills and commitment of the Group's 68,800 employees and developing its attractiveness to the future talent are fundamental challenges for the years to come.

The creation of high quality facilities to give our patients and residents a decent home, offering them the best possible facilities to suit their specific needs. Orpea is thus pursuing its premium growth strategy through selective acquisitions and new developments in the largest cities in its clusters

The pursuit of internationalisation remains strategic by opening new facilities and seizing development opportunities in areas with considerable potential. This policy is supported by an internal organisation that has been consolidated in 2019 in order to adapt to external growth.

Finally, the priority given to the Innovation and Research functions will enable the deployment of innovative and responsible practices to be rolled out more quickly in all of the company's areas.
